The Maritime Safety Technology Center (BTKP) of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia conducts routine inspections of technical equipment used to support maritime safety in Indonesia. This activity aims to ensure that all equipment and systems function optimally and comply with the applicable safety standards.

The equipment inspections carried out by BTKP cover various types of technical devices, ranging from personal protective equipment, gas transfer machines, dry powder transfer machines, marine BA compressors, overhead cranes, to other supporting work equipment. All of these play an important role in supporting ship safety improvements, both in domestic and international waters.
BTKP surveyor Achmad Suryana, together with his team, stated that this activity is part of the commitment to continuously improve maritime safety in Indonesia. “Maritime safety is our top priority. By conducting thorough inspections of technical equipment, we can ensure that every aspect of maritime operations runs safely and in accordance with existing regulations,” he said.
This inspection activity is carried out regularly at major ports and strategic locations in Indonesia, involving expert teams from BTKP who are competent in the field of maritime safety.
